Construction of the bike path connecting Paia Town to Baldwin Beach, Sprecklesville is nearly complete. The pedestrian-bike trail starts at the west end of Paia Town and meanders past the youth center, following the sugar cane fields on the makai-ocean side of the Hana Hwy. The orange cones are still posted, but I've already seen cyclists and joggers/runners taking advantage of the lane. After the irrigation and landscaping has been completed, the County will officially open the path to the public.
